Curcumin and Liver Enzyme Research in the LivaSorb Blend

LivaSorb is a blend of seven traditional botanicals: chanca piedra, astragalus, ginger, burdock, turmeric, schisandra, and dandelion. Turmeric, through curcumin, is the best studied of the seven in modern clinical literature, so the study below is the one we cite for the blend.

What the study looked at

A 2025 systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials examined curcumin supplementation and liver enzymes in people with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, pooling data from 14 RCTs to summarize the enzyme outcomes measured under those trial conditions.

Why it matters for Livana

Turmeric is in LivaSorb with six other botanicals that have centuries of traditional use. Their role in the formula is antioxidant and whole-system support alongside the core actives: milk thistle, NAC, glutathione, choline, artichoke, dandelion, and beet root. The other six have their own research posts here.
