Dandelion and Liver Support

Dandelion root and leaf have a long record of traditional use for digestion and liver support. A 2025 review in Pharmaceuticals gathers what the published research on it currently shows.

What the review covered

The review surveyed the role of dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) in liver health and hepatoprotective properties, including how the plant has been studied for supporting normal liver and digestive function. The authors note that existing evidence is largely preclinical and that large human clinical trials are still needed to confirm these effects in people.

Why it matters for Livana

Dandelion works with artichoke in Livana to support healthy bile flow and the clearing side of daily liver support. It is one of thirteen actives in the formula and is not meant to do that job alone.
